To me, October is the official start of Fall. Especially here in Arizona. October is the beginning of the end of summer when it ceases to be so unnaturally hot and begins to take on some semblance to normal weather, albeit lacking the crisp-air and orange leaves of a true "Fall", but still a lovely time non-the-less.
October is a season of pumpkin spiced lattes, cool weather, pumpkin ale, oktoberfest, golden orange colors, crisp apples, pumpkin pie, warm homemade chili, butternut squash bisque, pumpkin chocolate-chip cookies, candy corn, holiday baking, cute jackets and boots, pumpkin roll candles, carving pumpkins, Halloween and of course, my birthday.
So welcome October, and all of the wonderful things that you bring! You are my favorite season.
